Storming the Gates of Hell

In Matthew 16:18 we read “…upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Wow! The church of Jesus Christ is the only institution that has guaranteed immortality! Not even the “gates of hell” can prevail against the true manifestation and representation of Christ’s church. Quite logically, it should follow that we would desire to anchor all that we aspire to accomplish upon the authority and invincibility of the church of Jesus Christ, since this is where the real power that governs this universe is to be found functioning and flourishing among the counsels of men.

In Matthew 28:18 we read: “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Yes…King Jesus has been given “all power” in heaven and in earth! He is the absolute sovereign and his people have no business granting quarter or accommodation to anyone who fails to acknowledge the lordship and supremacy of Jesus Christ.

Of course, this was precisely the attitude of the American founding fathers. They were stalwart and staunch proponents of the Biblical Christian faith and would have never granted sanction for the establishment of non-Christian religions upon American soil. It has only been through gross distortion of history that, in our modern era, the Satanic lie of pluralism and all its attendant evils has been foisted upon an ignorant and unsuspecting American public.

Occupy Is His Command

In Luke 19:13 Jesus issues the directive that his servants are to “occupy” until his return. There can be no misunderstanding of the import and impetus of this Biblical imperative. The disciples of Jesus are to be his earthly agents and emissaries, and they are fully expected and intended to take dominion in his name that his holy law might become the compass and standard by which men lead their lives. As Luke 12:48 states: “…unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required...”

Ye, the principles of stewardship dictate and require enormous commitment and dedication on the part of those who would function as soldiers of the cross. As we forge ahead into increasingly perilous and ominous circumstances…it is utterly imperative that the church of Jesus Christ be at the epicenter of all that we endeavor to accomplish.

John 10:10 states, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” You see, the abundant life for which we must be striving in pursuit of can only be rightfully accessed and experienced if we become resolved to properly deal and contend with the thief that is on a determined mission to “kill and destroy.”

We are engaged in ultra serious business, to put it mildly, and God expects us to act accordingly. The founding fathers consecrated their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to the battle against tyrannical evil. It seems reasonable that we should be willing to do no less.

Calling the Remnant

While there is no ecclesiastical body that can lay legitimate claim to being the “one true church”…there is certainly nothing wrong with aspiring to be the “best church.” And what might we determine to be the defining characteristic of such a Christian assembly? Quite simply, it would of necessity be the church most committed to the full spectrum of truth. Please consider these passages in support of this assertion.

John 8:32… And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 4:24… God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Hosea 4:6… My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

1 Thessalonians 5:21… Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Yes…apart from truth in all its splendor and fullness, there can be no real power and authority. The modern denominational church is impotent against the well-organized forces of evil in direct proportion to the manner in which it has rejected the politically incorrect truths that our ancestors were willing to die for.

We are exceedingly pleased to introduce Heritage Christian Church to those seeking understanding of our mission. As Paul stated in Romans 11:5, “Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.”

We invite you to join with us as we prepare to carry out the will and the work of God in and throughout the earth.
